About Me

My name is Peter C. Uwadone. I am a self-motivated goal-setter, goal-getter and go-giver with a passion to add value to life.

Amongst other things, I studied Economics B.Sc. (Hons) at Delta State University, Abraka, Delta, and Marketing Management & Strategy (M.B.A.) at the University of Calabar, Calabar, Cross River State.

I joined ipNX Nigeria Limited on 20th July, 2004 as an Officer in Supply Chain Management. Since then, I have served in various capacities, including Product Architect and Head, Product Development.

My career interest lies in proffering and implementing creative solutions that immediately deliver results to individuals, organizations and society in terms of effectiveness, spread, profitability and development.

One thing you're proud of (an achievement, trait, skill)

I am proud of the opportunities to serve that ipNX offers its staff. Here, we are given the freedom to exert ourselves, come up with solutions and make as much impact as we possibly can. This has enabled me to acquire and/or develop competence in different areas such as Business Development & Strategy, Business Analysis, Product Development, Project Management, Training, Leadership, Team Building & Management, Supply Chain Management, and Creativity & Innovation.

Most interesting moment while in ipNX

My most interesting moments in ipNX both came on 24th November, 2017 and 17th December, 2017 when Customer Self-Service Portal (CSSP) and Data Capping were launched successfully. 6 months prior, I volunteered to manage this critical 2-in-1 project code-named “Project Alpha,” in which I worked with 18 brilliant colleagues. This afforded me the opportunity to contribute my fair share in enabling the company to generate more revenue and save significant cost. For this, I am grateful.

Lessons learnt while working here

I have learnt quite a lot of lessons in ipNX. Here are just a few of them:

1.     First thoroughly understand how all associated resources and elements interact and how they would be impacted before proceeding with any task or project.
2.     Put aside any misgivings so that you can work seamlessly with other people and prevent disagreements and deadlock in accomplishing set objectives.
3.     Always be willing and prepared to seek for help and to assist other colleagues/teams to resolve issues rather than adopting the “It-is-not-my-problem” or “I-don’t-care” attitude.

What quote (s) explain your philosophy for life?

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

Mahatma Gandhi

“Don’t feel bad if people remember you only when they need you. Feel privileged that you are like a candle that comes to their mind when there is darkness.”

Anonymous

“Service doesn’t have to be big and grandiose to be meaningful and make a difference.”

Cheryl A. Esplin

“Serve profusely; Serve with gusto. Serve with purpose and passion; Serve with everything that you’ve got. Serve in such a way that if service were a customer, she would gladly recommend you and your service to someone else.”

Peter C. Uwadone

I believe that whatever is worth doing at all, is worth doing well. You’ve got to serve like your life depends on it. You can achieve this when you brand your service with the emblems of competence, quality and excellence.
